Instructions
Add yeast, water and 1 tbsp of sugar to bowl and let sit for 10 minutes.

Add remaining sugar, eggs, shortening and mix. Add salt and 2 cups flour, mix. Add rest of the flour. Mix for 5 minutes.

Place in large bowl, cover, place on warm surface, let rise for 1–1.5 hours.

Roll out dough in 3 sections. Spread warm butter on each, cut into triangles and roll into crescents.
Place rolled crescents on pan and let rise 1–1.5 hours.

Bake at 350°F until golden. Butter immediately as they come out of the oven.
