Korean Beef Bulgogi Bowls

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, ginger, soy sauce, and garlic. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain fat.
  3. Stir in soy sauce mixture until well combined and simmer 2 minutes until heated through.
  4. Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds if desired. Serve over rice or with lettuce cups.
