Linda's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2.5 cups oats, powdered in blender
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 12 oz package semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 bar Hershey bar, grated
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Cream butter, shortening and sugars.
  2. Blend in eggs, add powdered oats, and dry ingredients.
  3. Mix in chocolates and nuts.
  4. Roll into balls and bake 6–8 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet until slightly brown. Cookies will be very soft, so let set 10 minutes.
