Red Wine Braised Short Ribs

Ingredients

  • 6 bone in beef short ribs
  • salt and pepper
  • avocado oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 celery
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3-4 cups dry red wine
  • beef broth
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 sprigs of thyme

Instructions

  1. Salt the day before for optimal flavor.
  2. Braise in the oven at a low temperature. Low and slow helps break down the tough meat.
  3. Only remove from the oven once the meat is fork tender.
